Tracking set up will take just a few minutes of your time. First, please go to your Shipments > Uncovered shipments tab.
Choose the shipment you want to track. Remember, Uncovered shipments tab shows all the loads you already have built manually or won from ivia broker. If you do not know how to create the shipment, please see this guide for your convenience.
Choose Assign Shipment option to see tracking options.
Track by unit # - choose this option to assign fleet driver on a load.
Track by carrier - choose this option if you want to assign the load to an ivia carrier. Whenever the carrier updates the load on ivia, you will see those updates on your side as well.
Track by driver's phone number - choose this option if you do not have the carrier or driver saved in your system. Driver will receive a text message with ivia link, which he/she needs to accept. To see how tracking works on driver's side, please watch this video.
Assigned shipment will appear on Shipments > Active shipments tab.
Driver should accept the load for you to see the location update. If load was accepted, you will see blue pin icon with location info. If driver never opened the text message and accepted your load - Never Updated message will appear on the load.
You can open active load details to chat with your driver as well as set up notifications and location updates for your customer.
Email location updates - choose interval of location updates being sent to customer's emails.
Email status updates - if necessary, set up milestone updates like arrived, loaded or offloaded at location with BOL/POD hard copies sent to your client.
You can see or download pictures of the freight, BOLs or PODs as soon as driver updates the app. Info will be available on Shipments > Active shipments > Load details tab.
🧠 If loading info does not match, ivia app will notify driver he/she needs your approval first. Don't forget to release unit as soon as you have your good to go!
There is another option to provide tracking updates for your customers. Have them check the ivia.com/track page. The only thing they will need is ivia ref#. Enjoy 😉
