Uncovered Shipments tab can be a nice organizational tool for your internal processes. Today we will discuss:
How to build a quick load with minimum info and why you need it
How to post your shipment to alliance, fleet or both
Create your quick shipment
We recommend "quick shipment" way to save your time. In case you want to get a simple quote from ivia providers or you do not have RC with full details yet, but need to keep things organized - this part is for you.
To create a shipment, click the ‘Create Shipment’ button in the upper right.
Enter quick details of your run. This will be enough for carriers to provide you with an appropriate option.
You can either save your quick shipment to keep it on uncovered shipments tab, or post it to alliance (ivia carriers), fleet (you drivers using ivia) & both.
Post shipment to carriers & fleet drivers
If you need to learn posting process, this part is for you.
Before final confirmation & posting we are offering you to filter the possible options you might receive. These are optional fields. Keep in mind, all of the filters will serve as an additional criteria for the carriers, but it will not limit the carriers from seeing your posting.
❗ Except filters like:
Post to - please choose the appropriate category you need
Minimum dims & Payload - restricts fleet drivers only. Trucks with payload or dims less than required will not see your postings. If you want to see all of your fleet options, keep it blank. Does not limit carriers at any point.
Target price - restricts fleet drivers only. If you set target price, your drivers won't be able to place a bid more than target. If you want to see all of your fleet options, keep it blank. Does not limit carriers at any point.
Once the shipment is posted, it will automatically move from Uncovered subtab to Posted.
On Posted subtab you can communicate with carrier via ivia chat or award this shipment to the carrier/driver you like.
🧠 Keep in mind, if you want your drivers to see posted loads, you should add them to your fleet first.
As soon as you click Award on the option you liked, this posted shipment will move to Active Shipments tab. Carrier will also receive a generated RC from your company. Driver will receive a notification about award they just got with load details you have saved.
You can always Unpost your shipment from the list or wait till expiration time. Either way, shipment will move back to Uncovered subtab where you can repeat your actions or manually assign any provider.
