Uncovered Shipments tab can be a nice organizational tool for your internal processes. Today we will discuss:
How to build a load with full shipment details
How to push your manually created shipments to active tab for tracking
Create your shipment with full details
If you need to keep record of your dispatchers load count, customer's revenue and simply save full addresses of the load, this part is for you.
Fully set up shipments are needed for your internal records and proper tracking part of your shipment.
Just go to Uncovered Shipments tab and click Create Shipment on your upper right. Then instead of filling in quick info, click on Fill in full shipment details option.
The whole process is divided into 3 steps.
Shipment Details
Create as - is something you can use to recognize quotes from real shipments you need to move in the future.
Bill to & Authorization Company - if you move this freight for non-ivia customer, you should first create your customer profile on Connections tab. See this article to learn how.
Shipment Title - is your "code red" note. All of the employees will see it during the full shipment cycle if you have anything to say about it.
Service Teams - Have FTL loads on board and shot hot sprinters? Or you work for Team 1, but there are also loads from Team 2 on your way? Use ST category to see only your area of responsibility on Active Shipments tab. Read this article to create a new service team.
Rate Confirmation - this particular button is for a document you want to upload to ivia. 🧠 Keep in mind, ivia generates RC between broker and carrier automatically.
Location & Cargo
🧠 Remember, you can always add several pick up or delivery stops; pallets of different size or package types in general.

🧠 Pay attention to the route our map is showing you. Map data offers you the shortest trip. The miles and the map picture will be provided to the drivers and carriers.
From the last point you will be able to post your shipment or just save it in the system for future processing. Posting feature is available from:

Uncovered subtab where each saved shipment is located
Turn your uncovered shipment into active
If you need to assign this shipment manually to carriers or drivers, this part is for you.
Your shipment is built, congrats! Now, let's assign someone who is moving this load for you. Get back on Shipments > Uncovered Shipments tab to complete the set up.
Find your load and click Assign Shipment when you are ready.
You will have several options to choose:
Unit - this is the driver saved you in your fleet. Driver should have ivia app downloaded to be able to confirm your load, so you could track him all the way till the last point.
Carrier - just type carrier name you are looking for. 🧠 If carrier is not on ivia yet, you can go to Connections tab > Carriers > Use invite carrier button on your upper right.
Track by driver's phone number - just type the driver's phone number to start tracking. Driver will receive a text message with ivia link to accept the shipment you just awarded.

Great! Your shipment is fully set up and active. Go to Active Shipments tab to find your load from now on.
