Have you ever thought about how much time your team spends on providing location updates over and over again? Calling drivers & carriers and replying to a bunch of emails might be a time consuming thing to do, so we've made a way to channel your precious time and resourses towards something more efficient. Leave the repetitive tasks for ivia.

If you want your customer to have access to tracking updates at any time, you have come to the right place. We've broken down the steps below on how to do just that:

  • Set up a tracking for your shipment on ivia. Read this article to see the steps.

  • Send your customer the ivia reference number that is associated with this load.

  • Send them this link for tracking. All they need to do is enter the ref# from step 2 as pictured below. 🧠 To make it easier for your team, you could even paste this link to your signature or the email template you use for updates in order to give your customers quick access to this tracking tool.

If you feel like the tracking link is not a good option for your customer, we have an automated option which you can set up for each load you are moving on ivia.

  • Build the load on ivia first and assign your driver/carrier

  • Open active load details and set up email notifications for your customer.

  • Choose the type of updates you would like your customer to receive. You can add as many email recipients as you need.

Email location updates - this is the location of your truck. Choose interval of location updates being sent to customer's emails.

Email status updates - if necessary, set up milestone updates like arrived, loaded or offloaded at location with BOL/POD hard copies sent to your client.

Done! Now, you can take care of important tasks and forget about simple, but time consuming requests which can be easily automated.
